Lorna's many interactions in the horsemanship community
have ranged from:
As Youth
Received instruction and competed in hunter/jumper and dressage/eventing and was
active member of 4H & US Pony Club. Held job as a working student at
thoroughbred breeding and dressage/eventing farms.
Competitive Experience
Dressage, eventing, open shows, hunter-paces, driving and breed shows.
Horse Management
Personally owned and cared for many horses of varying breeds. Managed farms for
clients and has co-owned and operated SWF for twelve years with her husband and
family.
Horse Show Management
Dressage competitions, groundwork & dressage clinics, 2-phases & open
horse shows, mounted drill team performances.
Instructing/coaching
Held a Mass instructors license for over twenty years. Operated full
horsemanship instruction program (lessons, lectures, summer camps etc.) for over
twenty years. Instructed hundreds of students and various horse breeds in
dressage and eventing/ jumping and groundwork/roundpen horsemanship. Helped
students achieve many yearend championship awards from local and regional
associations. Received several trainer of the year awards.

Currently
Very involved with a new horse association, The New England chapter of The
American Association for the Progression of Horsemanship (AAPHne). www.aaphorsemanship.org
and exploring more equine behavioral methods (non-traditional) of horsemanship.
Enjoying lessons with students, an occasional trailride or hunter-pace and her
continued interactions with her Andalusian mares, Nina and Esperanza.

Adrianna Kerr

Began riding in 1985 as a
youth. Competed in the hunter
ring before moving into dressage and eventing as a teen.
Graduated from Norfolk County Agricultural High School in 1997,
was a member of their equestrian drill
team and horse club.
Graduate of Johnson & Wales
University in Providence RI Nov. 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Equine Business Management.
Has held MA state licensed instructor since
1999. Began teaching at SWF in Feb of
2000.
Adri formerly owned a
Hanoverian mare named Allegra which she evented successfully in Beginner Novice level.
She now is working with her new horse Paprika a rose grey 4 year old
Thoroughbred filly. Adri also owns Jelly Bean, one of the leadline ponies, and is
in charge of the SWF leadline program, instructs 40 to 50 students
per week and manages the SWF open competitions.

Bean is a 7yr old, 12.1 hand chestnut pony which she purchased as a yearling. She is currently
the SWF leadline pony giving lessons to the 4 to 7 year old crowd.
